As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Driver in Vanceboro, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat05:45 PM - 06:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response protocols at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen restricted areas, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions according to post orders. Support security-related operations by preparing incident reports, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and assisting with de-escalation, directional support, and other assigned duties as needed. Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card/license is required. A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
