What You'll Do: Provide excellent customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergencies. Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within the utility facility to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior. Complete detailed reports and documentation of all incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during high-risk or emergency situations. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
