As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. This is an armed, driving post, supporting routine patrols and site checks while delivering professional customer service. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and applicable government facility procedures, including armed post requirements. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities as directed and requesting assistance from appropriate resources when needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations. Control access at designated entry points by verifying authorization, checking identification, screening visitors and deliveries, and maintaining required logs and/or records. Complete detailed written reports and incident documentation, communicate notable activity to supervision and site contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and available information. Minimum Requirements: Possess an Armed Guard Card/License. Have 6 months or more of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
