Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue05:45 AM - 06:00 PMFri05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSat05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support controlled access procedures in accordance with post orders and location requirements. Support emergency and incident response by communicating with supervisors, public officials, and/or first responders, helping to maintain order during high-risk or rapidly changing situations. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card or license. Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
