As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence throughout the location. What You'll Do: Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a security-related presence. Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately while maintaining confidentiality as required by site protocols. Collaborate with on-site personnel and local law enforcement when necessary in accordance with established procedures. Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and adhere to all protocols related to the carrying and use of firearms while on duty. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a valid armed guard card or license. Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
