As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, support staff and visitors with clear communication, and document key observations. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government corrections location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site staff and/or public partners as directed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, housing areas, yards, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment. Control access at gates, sally ports, and checkpoints by verifying identification and authorizations, monitoring movement, and watching for prohibited items and suspicious activity that may help to deter policy violations. Complete detailed reports and logs on patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and assist with security-related searches, counts, and accountability procedures as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. Possess an armed guard card and/or license preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
