Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed05:45 PM - 06:00 AMSat05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSun05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public sector personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns. Serve in an armed post in accordance with company policy and site requirements, maintaining professional bearing and handling assigned equipment responsibly during routine duties and incident response. Monitor entrances, movement within restricted areas, and key operational points to help to support order, follow post instructions, and report maintenance, life, and/or security-related issues promptly. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card/license. Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
