Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSat05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local responders as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor access points and verify credentials, permissions, and/or visitor activity in accordance with post orders and government site requirements. Support investigations of security-related concerns by preparing detailed reports, preserving relevant information, and reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
