Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 05:00 PMTue08:00 AM - 05:00 PMWed08:00 AM - 05:00 PMThur08:00 AM - 05:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Screen employees, visitors, and/or authorized personnel entering the location by following established security-related policies, identification checks, and prohibited item screening procedures. Respond to incidents, screening concerns, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through the proper chain of command when needed. Monitor entry points and controlled areas to help to deter unauthorized access, maintain orderly flow through screening areas, and support daily location operations. Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and perimeter locations as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by site. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience. Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
