ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a proactive and motivated person with the following qualities and experience:

  • Previous experience in an IT technical role.
  • Knowledge of desktop builds, patching, and upgrades.
  • An understanding of server environments.
  • Good knowledge of networking environments and protocols.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with other technical staff.
  • A keen interest in cyber security (practical experience is an advantage).
  • Ability to assist in delivering user training and awareness programmes.
  • Understanding of compliance and policy enforcement in IT security.
  • Capacity to work separately as well as collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities

As an ICT Security Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation’s cyber resilience by managing day-to-day security operations and responding to cyber incidents. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to security-related calls and queries.
  • Monitoring and analysing daily cyber security logs and incidents.
  • Investigating, reporting, and taking appropriate action on identified threats.
  • Liaising with vendors and other internal IT teams in conjunction with your security colleagues
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of security processes by assisting and providing recommendations.
  • Assisting with the review and enhancement of existing security solutions.
  • Collaborating with the team at user group meetings, both virtually and in person.
  • Attending cyber security conferences as part of ongoing professional development as the role progresses.
