Job Description As a Security Officer Bicycle Patrol Shopping Center in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail shopping location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach while assisting guests, tenants, and staff throughout your shift. Position Type: Full Time / Swing Shift Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue03:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed03:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur03:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail shopping environment. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention. Monitor access points, observe visitor and shopper activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures. Support a professional atmosphere by providing directions, answering questions, and documenting incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in a clear and timely manner. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience. A guard card or license is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
