Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:00 AM - 01:00 PMTue05:00 AM - 01:00 PMWed05:00 AM - 01:00 PMThur05:00 AM - 01:00 PMFri05:00 AM - 01:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a shelter location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying authorized entry when required, and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and respect. Support a respectful environment by observing resident and visitor activity, communicating policy-related issues, and assisting with de-escalation when appropriate. Minimum Requirements: A valid New York State Security Guard License is required. At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Alarm panel experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
