As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist shoppers and tenants with directions and customer service needs, document observations using site technology, and communicate clearly with your team. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail mall environment. Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including resolving disturbances, addressing suspicious activity, and coordinating assistance as needed. Monitor access points and observe customer and tenant activity for unusual conditions, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities as appropriate. Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation; communicate updates during shift handoff to support consistent site operations. Minimum Requirements: Have 6+ months of security experience. A guard card/license is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
