As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location. Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards. Monitor access points by observing visitor and vendor flow, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and directing individuals to appropriate service areas in accordance with posted procedures. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations, notifying appropriate contacts, and assisting first responders as directed. Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information during shift turnovers, and support security-related audits and/or administrative requests as needed. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Have customer service experience preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
