What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location. Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or property concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating guest issues and coordinating with mall management and/or local responders as needed. Monitor access points and mall activity, observe for policy violations, and complete written and/or electronic reports and incident documentation. Support loss prevention and crowd management efforts during peak shopping periods and special events by providing high-visibility presence and directing guests to appropriate resources. Minimum Requirements: CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
