Job Details Job Location: Railroad Pass - Henderson, NV 89002 Salary Range: $16.25 - $16.25 Hourly Job Shift: Any JOB DESCRIPTION: Security officers act as a visual deterrent, intervene and respond to all levels of security and potential emergency needs including acts or threats of violence, emergencies, and life safety threats. This position requires specialized training. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies and procedures. Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned equipment. Provide excellent guest service to guests and team members and resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and team members. Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or team members accidents, or unusual occurrences. Rotating to monitor alarm system surveillance cameras, perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers, perform dispatcher duties in emergent and non-emergent situations using appropriate equipment. Actively patrol and monitor all areas of the property through rotating assignments, including the exterior using various modes of transportation. Patrolling may include, but not limited to, bending, lifting, carrying, running, and extended time periods of standing and/or walking. Perform all necessary duties as trained in order to respond in emergency situations, including but not limited to: rendering appropriate first aid. Initiating and conducting evacuation procedures. the ability to move from location to location (including use of stairs) at appropriate speeds. the ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or move (in some circumstances) another individual, including one who may be injured. the ability to physically engage, and where necessary restrain, a person who is threatening or poses a harm to him/herself or others. CPR/AED Responsive Care, including, as needed, retrieving and utilizing the CPR/AED equipment and following established protocols. securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, and summon emergency responders to the incident. Performs all other job-related duties as requested. Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required: Minimum of 21 years of age. At least 1 year of customer service experience. Ability to operate assigned equipment. Ability to have excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively use various computer software. Ability to participate and respond in emergency situations, including evacuations procedures to aid guests and employees during an emergency. Ability to evaluate, compile, coordinate, and disseminate information, make sound judgement, and respond accurately and quickly to changing situations. Excellent customer service skills. Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts. Professional appearance and demeanor. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent. Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. Preferred: Previous Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience. Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
