This is a driving post. You will document security-related observations, support staff and students with professional communication, and contribute to a welcoming campus experience. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to campus community members and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting details per post orders. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, and perimeter routes, observing and reporting unusual activity. Assist with access control and visitor management as assigned, including monitoring entrances, checking identification as required, and directing individuals to appropriate campus resources. Complete routine reports and logs, communicate with Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives, and support security-related coverage for campus events as needed. Minimum Requirements: Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
