As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading higher-education location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide clear, professional assistance to students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an education campus location. Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns per post orders. Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordinating with campus stakeholders and/or first responders as needed. Monitor access points and public spaces during patrols, help to deter unauthorized entry, and provide directions and assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Complete shift logs and incident reports, document observations and actions taken, and communicate updates to site leadership using approved reporting systems. Minimum Requirements: Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
