As a driving unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will perform vehicle and foot patrols, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts while delivering customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, innovative, and people first. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, equipment areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials and/or work orders, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in process. Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, operate site communications systems, and escalate maintenance issues such as lighting, gates, doors, and/or alarms through the proper channels. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
