As a Security Officer at MercyOne, you will provide a physical presence for the purpose of prevention and/or detection of adverse conditions which would place the safety and security of the hospital environment at risk while protecting welfare of patients, visitors, staff and facility assets. Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are often difficult or stressful in nature. Contact with others involves complex, detailed and often sensitive topics. The job requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to deal with a range of complicated problem situations. Interactions involve gaining the agreement of others. Schedule: 2:30 am - 7:00 am, 2 shifts on call - 10:30 pm - 2:30 am; 10:30 pm - 7:00 am every other weekend and holiday requirements. General Requirements: Valid Driver’s License Basic Life Support and CPI within 60 days Law enforcement or criminal justice coursework preferred Education: High School diploma or equivalent Colleagues of MercyOne Health System enjoy competitive compensation with a full benefits package and opportunity for growth throughout the system!
