JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking two reliable and professional Security Officers to join our team in Dartmouth. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our client’s premises by patrolling the site, monitoring for suspicious activity, and responding to incidents as needed. You must be observant, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills, especially when creating reports and interacting with staff or clients.
This role will require you to work in a rotational shift pattern of 12 hours per shift (0600-1800 / 1800-0600), so the ideal candidate should be flexible and able to work both day and night shifts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and abstract is required for this position, as you will be operating a company vehicle for site patrols.
  • Experience: Previous security experience is preferred, but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for report writing and client interactions.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to respond to situations calmly and professionally.
  • Comfortable with working rotational 12-hour shifts.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol the site for extended periods.
  • Work Schedule: Rotational shifts with 12-hour work periods, including weekends and holidays as needed.
