Description

FUNCTION: Responsible for maintaining public order, enforcing safety rules, and the protection of guests, team members, property, and assets during assigned shift. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Patrol (on foot) designated areas to prevent, theft, violence, infractions of company procedures or policies, gaming regulations and safety rules. 2. Collect and compile information to complete detailed incident reports, including but not limited to theft, property damage, or other incidents affecting guests or employees. 3. Respond to all security calls in a timely manner. Operate communication equipment properly, safely, and according to company policy and procedure. 4. Respond to alarms in a timely manner and take appropriate action. 5. Transport company funds and confidential materials in a safe, secure, timely, and proper manner. 6. Perform guest identification checks to ensure proper age of guests playing or drinking at the Nugget and attending special events. 7. Assist guests and team members with directions, and answer questions as needed in a professional courteous manner. 8. Provide comfort and initiate medical response to ill or injured persons within company guidelines. 9. Exclude and /or apprehend violators according to established guidelines. 10. Stay informed of the company’s safety and emergency action procedures. 11. Dispatch security personnel and or outside emergency services as required. 12. Complete all Security department paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. 13. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests. 14. Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate 15. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations. 16. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike. 17. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager. 18. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same. 19. Regular predictable attendance is required. 20. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Security Shift Manager MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 21 years of age. EDUCATION LEVEL: High School diploma or equivalent is required. LANGUAGE: Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year experience in security, law enforcement, or the military is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: Advanced report writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word, and Outlook. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Employee Gaming registration required. Alcohol Awareness Certification within the first 30 days required. Valid Nevada driver's license and clean 3 year DMV record required upon hire. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs. Fine finger manipulation. Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
