FUNCTION:

Responsible for maintaining public order, enforcing safety rules, and the protection of guests, team members, property, and assets during assigned shift.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 21 years of age.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 1 year experience in security, law enforcement, or the military is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Advanced report writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities
  • Patrol (on foot) designated areas to prevent, theft, violence, infractions of company procedures or policies, gaming regulations and safety rules.
  • Collect and compile information to complete detailed incident reports, including but not limited to theft, property damage, or other incidents affecting guests or employees.
  • Respond to all security calls in a timely manner. Operate communication equipment properly, safely, and according to company policy and procedure.
  • Respond to alarms in a timely manner and take appropriate action.
  • Transport company funds and confidential materials in a safe, secure, timely, and proper manner.
  • Perform guest identification checks to ensure proper age of guests playing or drinking at the Nugget and attending special events.
  • Assist guests and team members with directions, and answer questions as needed in a professional courteous manner.
  • Provide comfort and initiate medical response to ill or injured persons within company guidelines.
  • Exclude and /or apprehend violators according to established guidelines.
  • Stay informed of the company’s safety and emergency action procedures.
  • Dispatch security personnel and or outside emergency services as required.
  • Complete all Security department paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  • Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  • Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Regular predictable attendance is required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
