What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Operate entrance screening posts, including verifying authorization for entry, directing foot traffic, and conducting bag and property inspections consistent with site requirements. Use screening equipment such as walk-through metal detectors and/or hand-held wands as trained, while maintaining a professional, respectful interaction with all entrants. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification of site contacts, and documenting actions taken. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas as directed, including interior and/or exterior checks and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns per post orders. Minimum Requirements: Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be 21 or more years of age. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
