Job Description As a Security Officer Gated Community in Laguna Niguel, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a residential location, you will monitor entry points, verify visitors and credentials, and support residents with professional customer service and communication. You will maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents while using teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach. Position Type: Full Time / Graveyard Shift Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access within the residential community. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around community access points, common areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site. Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, and incident documentation related to access control activities and other security-related matters. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
