What You'll Do: Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, manage visitor processing, and maintain access logs and required documentation. Support security-related screening of vehicles, packages, and deliveries as directed by post orders, and communicate discrepancies to site leadership. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, unauthorized access attempts, and/or operational disruptions. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors and perimeter routes when applicable, and report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
