As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, manage visitor sign-in, and support dock and gate operations with clear communication and professional customer service. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or shipping documentation, issuing temporary credentials, and directing traffic flow as needed. Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems, and document unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns for follow-up. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite leadership and/or emergency services when required. Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, yard areas, trailer rows, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
