ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: May include but are not limited to: * Ensures that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons, assets, employees and the company. * Prepare detailed incident report(s) in a clear and precise manner. * Patrols the casino and surrounding areas to establish a security presence. * Reports all unusual situations and/or suspicious persons. * Assists in the coordination of emergency situations and in maintaining proper key control. QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or GED is required or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. * Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, able to climb steps, and respond to emergency situations. * Handle basic duties and responsibilities of the position. WORK ENVIRONMENT: * May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to: second hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to general public. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand: walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. * The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. * The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded. Responsibilities

The Security Officer provides basic security coverage to protect patrons, assets, and employees. Responsibilities include patrolling the casino, reporting suspicious activity, and preparing detailed incident reports.
