Description Provide for the safety and protection of guests, employees, and company property. Anticipate potential problems and seek ways to prevent disruption, injuries, and prohibited conduct. Respond to emergency situations and take appropriate steps to resolve and minimize company liability. All duties are performed in accordance with departmental and company policies and procedures. Requirements Prior guest service experience is required. Prior experience in civilian or military law enforcement, casino/hotel security, or industrial security is preferred. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to investigate incidents, interview witnesses and draft legible, factual reports. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment maintaining physical stamina, proper mental attitude while working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. · Execute emergency response and evacuation procedures as directed by the manager. · Monitor and assist in the enforcement of casino policies and procedures; federal, state and local laws. · Oversee the transportation and exchange of all money transactions between the cage, count room, and casino games including fills, chip runs, slot drop and table game drop. · Patrol and/or periodically inspect assigned internal and external areas to identify fire and safety hazards and breeches in security. · Investigate all incidents, accidents, and/or events: take initial report and conduct interviews with appropriate follow-up. · Remain visible and accessible to guests and employees providing a sense of security, deterring potential problems, and answering questions. · Monitor suspicious persons in the casino, particularly those attempting to enter an unauthorized area. · At the discretion of the management, trespass individuals. · Respond to and resolve guest complaints when able. · Provide escorts to both guests and team members. · Participates in Marketing data collection. · Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment and ADA Requirements: Must be able to stand or walk for entire shift and possess the physical ability to access all areas of the property. Bend from the waist, crouch, stretch, kneel, climb, twist and crawl without restrictions. May work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to noise, dust, cigarette smoke, variations in weather. Must be able to converse over the telephone in an environment with loud background noise. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to push and/or pull 200 pounds. Must be able to stoop, bend and reach. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to simultaneously handle the demands of many guests. When on casino floor, must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
