Inter-Con is searching for aspiring individuals to join our thriving team of Security Officers. You’ll work as a member of a close team to form the backbone of the broad security services Inter-Con provides its valued clients every day.
At Inter-Con we take pride in providing customized security solutions for our clients. As a SECURITY OFFICER, you will be part of a security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure. This positions an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent or college degree
  • Guard Card
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be CPR/First Aid/AED certified
  • Must understand, read, and write in English
  • Must be good with computers
  • Successfully complete a background check
    Security Officers – Shall have two or more of the following additional requirements:
    · Minimum of four (4) years of either:
    · US Military Services with honorable discharge. (shall produce a DD-214 form); or
    · Experience as a law enforcement officer (can include service officers).
    · A college degree or equivalent experience in Security Services (Ex: College Credits); and/or
    · Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience as a Security Officer and
    experience in security service.
    ·Transferrable skills (Customer Service, Security Training, Situation Awareness Training, Trauma Informed Practice, relationship building and Leadership.)
Responsibilities

· Observe and provide oversight of the ingress and egress process of all visitors and staff at this location. Report any unlawful activities, safety hazards, maintenance problems, etc. that are observed or otherwise identified.
· Operate and monitor various types of electronic security/safety devices including, surveillance systems, access control systems, elevator control systems, fire/duress alarm systems, and audio-visual display systems.
· Operate a standard personal computer: including word processing and e-mail.
· Conduct regular roving foot patrols.
· Operate radio, telephone and electronic communication devices and systems.
· Utilize electronic and/or manual reporting systems and forms as required
· Screen associates and determine root cause of activations
· Monitor post activity to ensure the security of the facility, preventing unauthorized access
· Review and save CCTV video regarding incidents
· Complete various logs
· Complete incident reports by end of shift
· Respond to alarms
· Input Incident Reports in database by end of shift
· Provide direction and support to associates and assist associates with security matters as needed
