As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support daily operations. Assist with visitor management, deliveries, and other access control duties as required by site procedures. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Willingness to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
