Description Luther Village, a premier independent senior living community located in Arlington Heights, is actively seeking an experienced, hospitality-focused Security (Safety) Officer to join our team! We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our residents and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents effectively. Duties Monitor and patrol buildings and parking areas. Monitor areas for physical hazards. Respond to incidents and assist residents as needed. Respond promptly to alarms and calls for assistance, assess situations, and take appropriate action. Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. The shift is Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 5 pm -1 am. Requirements Skills Experience in a senior living community or hotel preferred. Proficient in surveillance techniques, including the use of CCTV systems. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
