As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. What You'll Do: Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines) Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to alarms, calls for assistance, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation and clear communication techniques. Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, badge and/or pass verification, and reporting of suspicious behavior or unusual conditions to site leadership. Complete shift logs and incident reports, document patrol activity, and communicate observations and follow-up needs to oncoming personnel and/or management. Minimum Requirements: Have 1+ years of security-related experience. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
