• JOB OVERVIEW:Mitie is looking for security officers who can deliver unprecedented customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues. Working in a Shopping Centre Environment no 2 days are the same.ABOUT THE WORKING LOCATION:Festival Place is a 1.1m sq. ft shopping centre situated in the heart of Basingstoke, just off the M3, housing over 140 big brand stores including Next, Marks & Spencer, Apple, and H&M. It is home to over 20 mouthwatering eateries including BrewDog, Côte Brasserie, Las Iguanas, Ask Italian, Pizza Express, Wagamama, Pret, Five Guys, and Nando’s and a 10 screen Vue multiplex cinema. Festival Place provides you with a safe experience whilst visiting. We employ a number of overt security measures, but also operate a number of covert security measures for your protection. • To deliver industry leading customer service
• To deter violence, public order or ASB offences
• To conduct patrols of the premises.
• Liaising between CCTV Operators and The Duty Management Team to support the reduction of crime and stock loss for our retailers.
• Liaise with the store management teams and carrying our regular “Buddy” Store visits to assist with Crime prevention advice, identification of offenders and crime reporting.
• Work in collaboration with the Police and key partners where required to foster a great working relationship to reinforce the reduction of crime in the Town Centre
• To wear Body Worn CCTV to bolster up in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
• To highlight and address any H&S concerns
• Testing of Live safety systems as required
• Attending Fire Alarm activations and assisting in evacuations in accordance with the Centres emergency plans.BENEFITS TO WORKING WITH MITIE INCLUDE:
