About the role: MSS Security is looking for professional and dedicated Security Officers to join our team for a range of high-profile major events across Melbourne. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property at some of the region's most exciting and prestigious events. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of event security, working with a leading industry provider. We're seeking individuals with strong work ethics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure situations. These casual roles offer a rotating roster across multiple sites in the Melbourne region, with the flexibility to work during major seasonal events. Duties include but are not limited to: Providing crowd control and ensuring the safety of attendees at large-scale events. Monitoring entry points, conducting bag checks, and enforcing access policies. Responding swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies Collaborating with event staff and law enforcement to mitigate potential risks. Maintaining a visible presence to deter disruptive behaviour or unauthorised access. Ensuring compliance with event-specific security protocols and procedures. Requirements: Full Australian Working Rights. Valid Victorian Security Licence. Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations. Current First Aid/CPR Certificates. Strong dedication, reliability, and commitment to safety and security. Physically fit, with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a friendly and approachable demeanor. High level of computer literacy. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
