The Jefferson in Washington, D.C., is currently recruiting a Security Officer to join our highly acclaimed and award-winning team.   The Jefferson, Washington D.C. has been named one of the top hotels in Washington, D.C. and presents this exciting opportunity for someone interested in growing within a setting that finds delight in the details that take our guest's experience beyond expectation.   Responsibilities: * Knowledgeable of all security equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations * Assist guests with room access, conducting/ assisting with emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, and key control audit * Monitor hotel surveillance cameras and alarm systems * Assist guests and employees during emergency situations * Respond to all accidents, contacting EMS or administering Aid/CPR as required * Gather information to complete reports while maintaining confidentiality * Defuse disturbances in accordance with hotel policies and procedures * Provide additional assistance in areas outside of traditional security positions to include Front Office Operations and Engineering  Qualifications: * Previous relevant Security experience, preferably in a luxury hotel * Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays * Strong verbal and written communication skills with guests, visitors, and hotel staff * Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Ability to obtain a certification in CPR and First Aid Training * The position requires the ability to walk stairs, climb ladders, and conduct security patrols.
