As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, track visitor and vehicle activity, and support smooth dock and yard operations. You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related issues, and communicate clearly with team members and site leaders. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and onsite personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Control access to the facility by verifying identification, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, issuing temporary badges or passes as directed, and directing visitors and deliveries to the appropriate staging or receiving areas. Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, checking appointments, load documentation, and/or delivery paperwork as required by post orders, and reporting discrepancies through the established chain of communication. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting details, and assisting with scene control as directed. Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading dock areas, parking areas, and the perimeter while monitoring for unauthorized access and/or unusual conditions. Working environments and conditions may vary by site. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
