What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions. Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, maintenance hazards, and/or policy violations; document observations and incidents in written reports and daily activity logs. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and/or evacuation direction as required by site procedures. Support campus operations by providing directions and information, assisting with lost and found inquiries, and/or coordinating with local law enforcement and campus personnel when escalation is needed. Minimum Requirements: CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire. Customer Service Experience is preferred. Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton is preferred. Handcuffing Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire. CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
