As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Chicago, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, support access control activities, and communicate clearly with the site team. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, and/or assisting with emergency response activities as directed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including gathering basic information, notifying appropriate contacts, and documenting actions taken. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial real estate areas such as lobbies, corridors, loading docks, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns. Monitor access control points, check identification and/or visitor credentials when required, and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic according to site guidelines. Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, and monitor building systems such as alarms and/or cameras when assigned, escalating concerns through the chain of command. Minimum Requirements: A Guard Card and/or license is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
