As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy utility location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur08:00 AM - 05:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or local contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, and/or access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, lighting, or operational concerns. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information when required, and document daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with post procedures. Support emergency and service-related response efforts by helping with access control, perimeter awareness, and/or traffic direction during outages, repairs, or other site events. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required. Alarm panel experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
