Wellfound is hiring a Per Diem Security Officers to join our team. This is both 8 hour and 12 hour shifts.      Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington.  We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.   Position: Our Security Officers provide a safe and secure environment for the patients, visitors, staff and property of Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital. We are looking for staff with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with diverse populations and able to handle demanding and stressful situations. This position requires officers be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and participate in de-escalation with the guidance of clinical staff.    We offer competitive pay and benefits: * Hourly: $20.69  - $30.91 depending on security experience + 15% per diem rate * Hourly Shift Differentials: Night $2.00, Weekends $1.25 * Employee Assistance Program up on hire * 403B with discretionary match for those that participate in the plan and meet work requirements * Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked.  Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date. What We Require Education:  High School or equivalent   Certification: Heart Saver or Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required to start   Experience: One year security experience working in healthcare setting preferred.  Mental Health Tech or other behavioral health experience will be considered in lieu of security experience.
