As an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with courteous customer service, clear communication, and prompt reporting of concerns. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post. Control access to designated areas by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization when directed, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in points and/or departments. Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift pass-down information, and communicate observed hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
