You can use your skills to help provide a safe sanctuary to the members and staff of SBC. About Scottsdale Bible Church (SBC): SBC’s main campus is in beautiful Scottsdale Arizona. God has faithfully grown SBC from a humble beginning of 13 people in 1962 to more than 6500 meeting weekly on four campuses. As the Security Officer, you will report to the Central Security Director and are responsible to provide protection and safety to church employees, attendees, visitors and church facilities. This position requires prior experience in law enforcement and/or military police. Your Essential Responsibilities: In this position, you will: Patrol the premises, including parking area and all buildings Monitor cameras Greet and interact with those on campus with an eye for possible threats while exhibiting Christ-like qualities Respond to medical emergencies, providing initial first-aid and coordinate necessary emergency personnel Identify possible security/safety issues and bring to the attention of the Assistant Security Director Complete incident/accident reports as needed Promote goodwill and a positive image of Scottsdale Bible Church All other duties assigned Skills you need to succeed: Knowledge of: Safety & security systems, video cameras, radio systems, intrusion alarm systems, and complex safety & security programs Related maintenance and computer equipment Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) Demonstrated competency in: Customer focus Action-oriented Problem solving Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to: Perform physical tasks which will often include long periods of standing, movement, etc. Work in a multi-faceted environment with little supervision Maintain a high degree of professionalism Be flexible Handle confidential information Anticipate and discern needs or threats and respond appropriately Qualifications Personal Qualifications: Committed to spiritual growth Relationally unified Servant-hearted Operates in grace and truth Dependable Good stewardship of the facilities God has given the church, presenting a positive physical appearance of the church in the community Desire for individual & professional growth Positive attitude Consistently strives for excellence Demonstrates a sense of urgency Integrity of work habits and results Efficient Supportive team member Personable in working with staff and volunteers Regular attender and SBC member, or willing to become a member Education and/or experience: 5+ years of experience in law enforcement or 4+ years of military service with military police experience/honorably discharged Ability to pass firearms qualifications (must complete within 6 months of date of hire) Knowledge of security practices/training in de-escalation procedures First Aid and CPR certification This position requires in-office work and does not qualify for a remote arrangement. Church Membership is required for most paid positions. SBC does not participate in COBRA or Unemployment Insurance.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer, you will patrol the premises, monitor cameras, and respond to medical emergencies. You will also identify security issues and promote a positive image of Scottsdale Bible Church.
