Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will help support a professional environment through screening activities, access control, and strong communication. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with routine security-related procedures, and provide courteous customer service to visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.45 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 04:00 PMWed07:00 AM - 04:00 PMThur07:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Screen visitors, employees, and/or property entering the location in accordance with established procedures and report unusual or prohibited items to the appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed. Monitor entry points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of post orders and security-related policies. Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and perimeter locations when assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by site. Minimum Requirements: Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred. Possess a guard card or license, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
