Job Description As a Security Officer - Secure Entry Coordinator in Omaha, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy transportation location, you will welcome visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and manage entry points using a computer and/or tablet. You will stay highly visible, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and help identify and report security-related concerns while completing routine rounds of assigned areas. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location. Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, managing vehicle and pedestrian entry, and directing unauthorized individuals to the proper contact or location. Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, document activities, and report irregular conditions that may require follow-up. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders. Conduct regular and random patrols of garages, lots, lanes, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify maintenance or operational concerns, and complete patrol reports. Minimum Requirements: Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
