What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government facility entry point. Screen visitors, staff, and/or vendors by conducting bag checks, using walk-through and handheld screening equipment, and verifying identification and access authorization as required by post orders. Control access by managing entry and exit points, directing visitor flow, issuing visitor credentials when authorized, and communicating entry requirements in a professional manner. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling prohibited items per site procedures and notifying supervision and/or appropriate authorities. Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and screening documentation, and communicate observations that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations. Minimum Requirements: Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. X-Ray screening experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
