Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.45 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur06:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and other security-related policies for a government location. Screen visitors, staff, and permitted items at designated entry points while following post orders and documenting required information. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors and/or appropriate personnel as needed. Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and adjacent public areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations at the location. Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter when appropriate, noting conditions and reporting concerns according to site procedures. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree. Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. A guard card or license is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
