Job Description Now Interviewing for Part Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy Job Schedule: DayTimeFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations. Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, and/or vendors while following site protocols for sign-in, screening, and restricted areas. Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with crowd and/or traffic flow, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
