The Gatesworth, a distinguished independent senior living community with multiple US News Best Awards and STL Headliner Awards, is seeking a part-time Security Officer to join our dedicated team. The Security Officer will play a key role in maintaining the physical security of the facility, residents, and guests through both routine and emergency protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid St. Louis County Security License is required and can be obtained before your start date.
  • 2 years of security experience is required.
  • 2 years of customer service experience is required.
  • Must have technical proficiency.
  • Must be proficient in both written and verbal English.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and a willingness to communicate effectively, as this role involves regular interaction with residents.
  • Experienced in managing and maintaining building access control systems, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems.
  • Skilled in monitoring and troubleshooting security equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled rounds to monitor and maintain the security of the property.
  • Stationed at reception and security desk posts to greet residents and professionally screen employees and visitors.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including emergency panels and other security-related incidents.
  • Accept, check in, and manage packages and deliveries.
  • Perform security rounds throughout the building, which require walking and constant monitoring of the premises.
