Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.09 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWed06:00 AM - 02:00 PMThur06:00 AM - 02:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a government transportation location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, first responders, and/or site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor access points and public areas, observe for irregular conditions, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations in accordance with site procedures. Support emergency response activities by assisting with crowd management, directing foot traffic, and providing information during service disruptions, evacuations, and/or other unusual events. Minimum Requirements: A New York State Security Guard License is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
